Royal Society Discussion Meeting on New Directions in Liquid Crystals

Professor Bruce (Chair), Professor Goodby, Professor Coles (Cambridge) and Professor Sambles FRS (Exeter) organized a Royal Society Discussion Meeting in London at the Royal Society in December 2005. The meeting ranged from liquid crystals in biological systems and their applications, to the self-organising and self-assembling properties of complex liquid crystals, to the applications of liquid crystals in lasers, telecommunications systems, plastic transistors, templating structures and colloidal systems.
