Synclinic and Anticlinic Mesophases for Photonic Applications Reaches Completion

The EU Research and Training Network Synclinic and Anticlinic Mesophases for Photonic Applications (SAMPA) reached a successful completion in August 2006. The research training network, Coordinated by Professor Goodby, was funded under Framework 6 of the EU, and trained over 40 young researchers and contributed over 150 joint scientific papers and presentations in the field of Liquid Crystals. The partners of SAMPA RTN included; TU Berlin, Trinity College Dublin, and the Universities Ghent, Chalmers, Madrid, Montpellier, Pisa, Rome, and Warsaw.
