Royal Society Evening Discourse in Liquid Crystals Celebrates George Gray's 80th Birthday

An Evening Discourse in Liquid Crystals at the Royal Society, organised by Professor EP Raynes of Oxford University and Professor JW Goodby of York University, celebrated Professor George Gray's 80th Birthday and his contributions to research in the field of liquid crystals. The event was attended by a number of pioneers in the field of liquid crystals, many of whom were involved in the UK innovations and developments of LCDs. George was presented with a gold plated GW Gray Medal by his friends and colleagues.
