Award of Honorary Doctorate

In 2002 Professor Goodby was awarded a Honorary Doctorate (ScD) from Trinity College Dublin for his research into liquid crystals for display devices. Professor Goodby received his Honorary Doctorate from former President of Ireland Mary Robinson. Also awarded a Honorary Doctorate in Science was Sir Patrick Moore for his services to the BBC for his Programme ?The Sky at Night?.
